Writing and sending a text message (Menu 2-1)

You can send and receive multi-part messages, which consist of several ordinary
text messages (network service). This may effect the invoicing of a message.

Before sending a message, make sure that the phone number of your message
centre is stored in the phone (see

Message centre number

on page

64

). You can

obtain this number from your service provider.

To exit from this menu at any time to standby mode, press and hold

twice.

Alternatively: Press

(

Options

), choose

Exit

, and press

(

OK

).

Note: When sending messages via the SMS network service, your phone may
display the words

Message sent

. This is an indication that the message has been

sent by your phone to the message centre number programmed into your phone.
This is not an indication that the message has been received at the intended
destination. For more details about SMS services, check with your service provider.
